Dell Inspiron 13 7000

Lisa Gade reviews the Dell Inspiron 13 7000 series model. We look at the Special Edition model, that adds a soft touch gray finish and an SSD to the standard Inspiron 13 line. The Inspiron is a 2-in-1 Windows 8.1 convertible that transforms from a traditional laptop to a tablet, and it also works in tent and presentation modes. Our $999 mode has a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7-5500U 5th generation Broadwell ULV CPU, 8 gigs of RAM and a 256 gig SSD. The lowest priced $530 model has a Pentium CPU, 4 gigs of RAM and a 500 gig HDD, and there are Core i3 and Core i5 option too. Ours has a 13.3” full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS display that supports touch and the optional Dell Active Stylus using Synaptics technology. Lower end models have a 1366 x 768 IPS display. The laptop weighs 3.68 lbs. and it has dual band Intel 7265 WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and a backlit keyboard. **Read our full written review here:
