The current generation Camry started in 2012 and an all-new Camry is usually rolled out every four years, but now you don’t need to wait until 2016 to get a new Camry as Toyota just revealed the major face-lifted 2015 Camry at the New York International Auto Show.
Toyota said that the 2015 Camry is “the new Camry” which comes from the “new Toyota”. Apparently, it is hard to tell that this 2015 Camry is actually in the same generation with the previous year Camry, as every exterior aspect of the car has been changed except for the roof. The new Camry is 1.8 inches lower and 0.4 inches wider than the previous model year.
With the major overhaul to the Camry, one could say that the Camry starts its new generation a year early at least on the appearance, as the 2015 Camry is still powered by the same 2.5-liter 4-cyl or 3.5-liter V6 gas engines teamed with 6-speed AT, or a 2.5-liter Atkinson Cycle engine with Hybrid Synergy drive matched to an E-CVT.

The 2015 Camry’s interior also gets its fair share of the makeover with premium material, roomier feel and upgraded amenities. The high-tech, upscale-look center stack is smoothly integrated with the console which features a redesigned tray that offers more storage and useful power source in the storage box. With about 30% more insulating material put into the car, Toyota said the new Camry is the quietest Camry ever.
